- Are you an artist or crafter who wishes for more time to devote yourself to creating?
- Do you want to learn how God wants us to be imaginative and creative?
- Do you want to discover how to meet God in your art and feel His pleasure as you create?
- Do you want to feel a part of a special community of fellow artists and crafters?
Perhaps BlueWind Retreats will help satisfy that need. (Downloadable brochure here.)
BlueWind” comes from the discipline and work involved in art and craft (“Blue”) and the Holy Spirit who directs and inspires our work (“Wind”).
Christians gifted in creative expression want to know the freedom of creating in God’s presence. We want to honor Him, offering our gifts as an act of worship pleasing to Jesus, in whom and through Whom all things are created. We long to feel a part of a community of believers who are devoted to excellence and serving God with those gifts.
I have been on three day prayer retreats at the Benedictine Monastery near Erie, PA and know the value of “time away.” Rest and reflection helps me focus on God. Community is also important, as the Benedictines welcome guests as Christ, and joining them in prayers and during meals is part of the retreat experience.
I’ve also directed a writers’ conference for many years and know how important it is to learn from others and feel a part of a close community of fellow devotees.
So if you would like to discover what knowing Jesus through creative expression can mean in your life, how feeling God’s pleasure as you create can be your greatest joy, and how faithfully using your creative gifts will lead others into the presence of God, then come and join us at BlueWind Retreats.
